Tropical Slow-Release Plant Food
How to Use and Dosage
- Existing Pots: Sprinkle 1 scoop (10ml) on top of the soil in Ø19cm pots and water as usual.
- Repotting: Repot your plant as normal. 180 days after repotting mix 1 scoop (10ml) into 3L of substrate and mix it through the soil.
Tips
- Fertilize only while the plant is growing (spring/summer). Pause during fall and winter.
-
Less is more: Never exceed the recommended dosage.
- No need to dissolve in water—apply directly to the soil.
- Ferns: Use half the dosage (sensitive to over-fertilising)
- Do not use this fertiliser the first 180 days after repotting with SYBASoil!
Tropical Slow-Release Plant Food
Tropical Slow-Release Plant Food is the reliable way to keep your leafy houseplants well-fed with minimal effort. This tropical slow release fertilizer provides a consistent supply of nutrients over time, making it ideal for Monstera, Philodendron, and other fast-growing tropicals. Especially effective in mineral substrates like SYBAStones, these tropical nutrient pellets ensure plants in semi-hydro or soil-free mixes receive balanced and steady care.
Why Slow-Release Matters for Tropicals
Tropical houseplants have a reputation for being hungry growers. Standard feeding methods often give a strong boost that quickly fades, leaving plants vulnerable to nutrient gaps. Tropical controlled release fertilizer avoids that cycle by delivering tropical release nutrition gradually. This approach mirrors how plants in the rainforest receive nutrients, helping them maintain steady growth, stronger roots, and lush foliage without the stress of sudden spikes.
How It Works in Mineral Substrates
Designed for use in setups like SYBAStones, this tropical long term fertilizer breaks down slowly, releasing tropical mineral nutrients directly into the substrate. One application supplies tropical care pellets that feed for months, ensuring reliable growth in both chunky and fine houseplant blends.
Benefits of Tropical Growth Pellets
- Steady feeding that fuels large-leaf development and strong stems
- Supports mineral-based substrates where nutrients can wash out quickly
- Prevents weak growth and pale foliage by offering continuous care
- Reduces the need for frequent fertilizing, saving time and effort
- Gentle release that avoids burning roots or overfeeding
- Season-adjusting; Automatically feeds more in summer, less in winter
With tropical bio growth pellets, your plants receive a rhythm of nutrition that matches their natural appetite for steady energy and resilience.
